Michael's 24th birthday

Hungry ones
Wow what a day! Woke up at 10am (so early), did a few more accounting entries (I'm so going to be behind with college work after this) had "Koh Loh Mee" with char siu for lunch at home (yum yum) and then drove to uni. Best thing about today, the weather changed from being cloudy to perfect (slightly cloudy making it not THAT hot)
aaah the beach was good! Water was beautiful, a little cold at first. Not that many people in the water, but just enough to make you comfortable so I didn't feel like sharkbait all alone by myself!
Then dinner, yum yum, Steak and Ribs combo with Monkey Gland sauce. Huge portion but well worth it, loved the chips, perfectly friend, full of potato flavour, not overly salty and the steak was juicy and not overcooked.

Debits and credits
Not being a very good accountant its not been the easiest task! I can sorta guess the journal entries correctly but somehow I get lost when things get complicated, especially the stuff on GST. Whats a GST credit? What is the difference between taxable and non-taxable supply? I've been fudging my way around, luckily all of the answers for the workbook I have to complete are provided. College is easy in that sense!
So I missed my opportunity to do something fun and outdoors today because I stayed at home to complete more work. Don't want to fall behind, I don't see how I can do both college and a part-time job concurrently, but I'm going to write a few cover letters and send them out to potential employers anyway. Mum has been pressuring me to get some interview experience.
I always knew that accounting would come in useful one day, its a pretty useful subject to do even if you intend to become an accountant. I managed to scrape a bare credit and a pass for accounting 1 a and 1 b respectively back in first year, aah.. all those memories of copying my friend's workbook and making up accounts.. very poor indeed!!!
Oh no, even worse news.. oh false alarm.. my bro thought that our TV blew up but its all ok now!
Ok must head to the beach and bathe in seawater to get rid of pimples!

Thinking movies
Was a pretty good movie, the fact that it is based on a true account of a US Marine adds credibility to pretty insightful movie. 3.5/4 stars from me, 0.5 a star because of the scene where the main character "Swoff" has to stir a flaming concoction of human waste products. "I left a present for you, not too hard not too soft", memorable quote hahaha.
Anyway I saw another 'Home and Away' star tonight! I'm so stoked, two in a week, what are the odds of that happening!

I miss you!

Hey Princess when you coming back? Can't believe you forgot about Chatswood, have you gone insane? You have practically lived in Chatswood last year? :P jk jk
Beautiful evening sky tonight, went for a walk straight after dinner, 40 mins before LOST aired on Channel 7. The sky was light blue, darkening but with beautiful streaks of orange. I was lost in thought, I felt positive, y'know the feeling when adrenaline rushes through your body and you feel as if you can take anything on. I was listening to Oasis' "Whats the Story Morning Glory" on my Ipod simultaneously, so you can imagine the melodramatic mood I was in.
anyway I want to share a pic I took from my room.

the woes of graduates all around the world
I was reading the 'Graduan' booklet which is published by the Malaysian government issued to Malaysian graduates. My brother found a copy at UNSW, of all places last year, and brought it home for our perusal. Having skim read a few pages from the booklet is seems that job-hunting there is much the same as it is here which surprises me although it shouldn't. There were heaps of articles written by graduates about their experiences post-uni etc etc, much of the content echoed my own thoughts on the matter.
The smell of the book is quite horrible though, I think that's the cause of the headache I'm experiencing now!
Anyway I had a good day today, woke up late, started collaw work, managed to get some work done and create a manageable filing system at the same time. Went to the gym in the afternoon cos I'm still trying to get a flat tummy and rid myself of my copious body fat lol.
Watched way too much T.V yet again. Got stuck on "Prison Break" and "NCIS" which is not good, I think I have to tape next week. Watching all those dumb ads the commercial stations play nowadays is not good for the brain. I actually feel dumber after seeing those 'Neighbours' ads they play over and over and over. Neighbours sucks by the way, such bad acting and rubbishy plotlines!

Huge dilemma: How am I supposed to study when there's so much good TV on!
I'll finish at 10.30pm, and by that time I'm in bludgey mode. Tonight I ended up watching a repeat of the FooFighters special on Channel V. Great band, I tend to get tired of their songs easily though for some reason, but they're truly a great modern day rock band. Its really weird to see how they've changed from when they started out though, the drummer used to look young and energetic, he now looks like a druggo unfortunately, and there's a guitarist who has aged a lot too.
Even frontman Dave Grohl's look has changed as time has passed. He looks a lot different from when he was the tall skinny Nirvana drummer.
Ok gotta get that statement of claim done tomorrow so I can go lanning on Sunday!

Huge Dilemma: What to see on Wednesday night, NCIS or Prison Break?!
Anyway can't wait to find out whether Fish can break out of prison with his brother, and in the process unravel the mystery behind the set up and conspiracy. Its gonna take 22 episodes though, perhaps even longer if they stick around for more seasons.
Ok letter of advice done, now can sleep easy!
