""Those hippies and their damn language knowing"

Just watched the season finale of the "Amazing Race Season 9" and what a perfect ending it was =)
After a gruelling journey around the world, literally, facing intense competition from the "fratboys" from Florida, the "hippies "BJ and Tyler emerged triumphant and took the coveted $1m prize =)

Here's a quote from BJ after winning:

"Being cerebral or being intelligent doesn't help as much as being in the moment; just being aware of what's going on around you and it's just great to stay positive and just really enjoy each other's company"

Tyler said something really cool too, something about immersing yourself in the culture of the place you are in and taking and putting back the energy.

Hard not to admire these goofy, self-deprecating and perpetually smiling geeks! They exude positivity and free spiritness. When watching tonight I was impressed by their Japanese language skills, it turns out that both of them are multi-lingual, Tyler speaking 14 languages including Japanese which he's picked up from his Japanese girlfriend and BJ speaking around 18.

Anyway there heaps of great moments in tonight's finale, all of them highlighted on the following site if anyone is interested.
