1st day of uni! spiky hair and asians

omg.. uni is like so 1 st year! Can't believe its been 4 years since then, coming back to uni as a 5th year student, you feel like a veteran of war.

Got to uni around 10 today, took the train and bus with Kelvin. It was pretty alive on campus, unsurprisingly. Lots of new young faces around, it must be all new and exciting to them.

Never eating George Str KFC again!

Just a short reminder to myself never ever to eat there again! that place is such a pig sty, so dirty and its no wonder I'm suffering from food poisoning rite now!!!!

So spent the day in today, In til the afternoon that is. Went with Kelvin to China books in Chinatown to get his TAFE txtbk. The store had the lovely new book smell.. aaah.. so sweet.. smelt like the familiar Times or MPH bookstore back home.. haha.. made me so homesick!!!

I can't wait til July, we've booked our flights to go back for Grandparent's wedding anniversary.
should be fun, I miss my annual trip to Malaysia. Can't wait to play mahjong with grandma and her 'kaki' hehe

So blue sky was fun tonight. It was great to see so many new people and to see the new Blueskiers step up into doing stuff like sound and videos etc. Felt kinda frustrated that I couldn't be social and meet the new people, but then during the 'singing time' I realised that my focus was all wrong.

My entire growth group is back, with the exception of Jay Z who's still in Hong Kong. Now that I look at it, everybody in our group has bonded together!!!

Still questioning whether I should serve as a leader in BS this year. Hopefully I'll have a good chat with Paul this Sunday.

Anyway.. things seem to be right this part of the world. Mite just turn in for tonight.

a failed clubbing experience

Just got back from an uneventful night. Strangely tho it has turned out to be a pretty good night considering the circumstances :)

Crap, my train of thought has bin recked by msn again.. anyway continuing on my story

Well today I woke up late, remembered my dental appointment, got out of bed and immediately ran to the phone to cancel it. The receptionist wasn't too pleased but I was too stunned and groggy to care. hehe.. nyway my dental problems aren't that severe anyway so I figured no urgency.

So, decided to be nice to mum and take care to IKEA in Rhodes AGAIN to get her 'Anssi' kitchen chairs. Well, we got them, but her missed out on the Gabor Blue dining chairs which means that I have no make ANOTHER trip in the next few weeks to get them. Damn!

Then went to Strathfield plaza. There' nothing more to tell there.

Got home and tried to fix the F*c%*n Anssi chairs which took look f&$k$n half an hour to fix. Sheesh, I still got another one to go.

Then, went to Blue Sky! :) Service was good, twas a good turnout and brought Widiana along 2 for the first time (she's actually bin to WIC before tho)

So, service ended walked out of church down to chinatown ready to enter Gas for the Red Light RnB dance pty wateva. No one there at 9.3o pm so we figured go chinatown for the night markets and grab a bite. Mike changed his mind and decided to come so we met up with him in front of Y2K there.

Unexpectedly saw Denise there shopping with her aunt! Also unexpectedly saw Jennifer , the super nice girl from jewellry there 2.

So.. call up Gaston, we head back to GAS, there's a lion dance going on, they let go crackers which deafen us. But then the Q is like building up and we're getting lazy to go. Widiana goes home, mike, Gaston and me go to Gloria Jeans around the corner. The Medium Oreo Bash ($4.95) and the ensuing chat outside made the night worth it tho. Got a call from Ah-Cheng and brother Kelvin unexpectedly whilst I'm there, start speaking with Malaysian accent y'know and then get laughed at for doing so... seriously don't know why its so funny!

So I'm at home, its 1:21 am and I prolly should get to bed

I'm not really depressed, I'm actually elated !

I just applied for a tutoring position in Artamon online. Amazing how UNSW jobsonline (http://www.careers.unsw.edu.au/student/jobsOnline/results.asp) has so many jobs available for the picking. If only I could have every job there, all would be good :)

Had full on day today. Woke up 9am to take the Honda for servicing in Artamon.

Came back home, got my racquet and sped to Killara for our little pre-arranged tennis outing.
Tennis was heaps fun as usual. Daniel from work came which was cool, that guy has so much personality and a great laugh. It was great to see him interact with blue sky people. I'm also surprised he can play tennis, he told me online last night he couldn't play.

Actually I was very disappointed in how I started off playing this morning. I changed my grip last week and did a dodgy job of it. I didnt' know I had to take the plastic off until Deez told me!
My racquet felt so light with the new grip. I could barely even hit the ball over the net until like 15mins later. I was disappointed in that I couldn't show Alex, the state player, that I could actually hit the ball decently. Its shallow of me to think that way, i.e. to impress people but I felt it nonetheless.

But anyway things improved and I got started on the singles court with Daniel. Howard Kuo from NSBHS just materialised suddenly out of nowwhere, to get notes off JLO as you do, and he played a bit too. Nice guy that one, it was fun playing him and JLO 2 . hehe

KFC for lunch, sent Daniel home. Came back to courts. Played a bit more, got more burnt. Then decided to go Mac Centre to go get icecream so drove all the way there. On the way in the car my phone went off like a million times but because it was in the boot with my bag I couldn't get it. Parked there, got my phone, called mum and realised I had to go back to Artamon to collect the car!! My memory is seriously shot to pieces!

So i missed out on 'group hanging' in Mac Centre. Last wk's hangout there was fun! Got tennis grip with Deez :) and $3.50 pizzas hehe

Dinner at sum Spanish place in city tonite! Had the yellow tumeric rice with seafood. Was ok, jap food is cheaper and beta but it was a nice change. The 'sangria' was good, didn't make us drunk tho.

Then went to Playtime Arcade (Mike's hangout :P) Haven't bin there in ages! Got addicted to photo hunt again so we're going to play there again tmr! how sad!

So yeah, the day was good!
