Back from Melbourne

I'm back from Melbourne. Really sad how the first thing I do upon returning is to go straight to my computer and log onto the net. anyway after checking 10 email accounts I can findly get to writing my thoughts on my short holiday to Melbourne.

Melbourne is surprisingly a really nice place! Its no way as vibrant, bustling and beautiful as Sydney, but it has a unique sense of charm about the place and there's quite a lot good about the place. Melb is really really flat though, unlike Sydney it doesn't seem to be very hilly. And there are things called 'Trams' there which almost completely replace buses.

I went down for my cousin's wedding on Sunday morning. I'm so glad we decided to go down and be present for the wedding. It was a really good wedding, and there was a heaps good reception after too. Heaps of good food and the weather was pretty much perfect too!

I helped collect the 'ang pow' and presents from guests and got people to sign the guest book too. It was a pretty good job, I had a little seat and a table and the waiters kept on serving me food and champagne hehe

Anyway going to post some pics later ;)

the future doesn't scare as me as much anymore

Interesting day. Woke up early to finish work on my BA 2 assignment. Not very confident of this assignment might I add, and usually when I'm not confident I get what I deserve, a big fat PASS! Anyway, even't if I do bad I'm sure I can learn from my mistakes, there is still a final takehome which I can rely on.

I went to the state library hoping that I would find some useful books which I could use for the assignment. Didnt' find anything useful, unsw law library has the goods when it comes to law materials I think. Met Tony on the bus from the city to UNSW which was unexpected. When I met him it was like the perfect beach summery weather outside. Soon it'll be summer which means I can start going again.

So I handed in my assignment, took the bus to the city. Met a friend, had oportos for dinner, entered church. Bluesky service was good ;) Got a lot of practical advice from it, and for some reason I feel that going to Club O may not be such a bad thing after all. I mean, I should embrace entering the post-uni life. Life is in phases and the uni one is coming to an end. 5 years at uni isn't such a long time if you think about it, but being a uni feels like a drag now. I guess bluesky is evolving as old people move on and new people come in. Even if Club O turns out to be the disaster that everyone thinks it is, it wouldn't be the end of life. Better to give it a go rather than not go at all and not experience what it is like ;)

life is so scary!

I couldn't maintain my '1st to class' streak :( I was narrowly beaten by the other guy who comes to class early, and who sits on my left usually. Anyway, letsee who beats who on thursday lol
'
Life is scary. Got an email today, which was basically an invitation to move to Club O. *shudders*

cool, I love random comments, I'm not really a bball fan but I promise to read the phoenixsuns bball blog sumtime soon.

Get up get up get up.. cos I'm bored

yeah i'm bored! haha sorry I'm plagiarising lyrics like no tomorrow.

anyway had another early start this morning to go pick up family friend from the airport. Woke up at 5.30am, pretty impressive considering I slept at around 2am. Don't know how I'm surviving on this amount of sleep, its pretty crazy.

Sydney's traffic is really bad!!!! People complain about the traffic in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Manila, but seriously Sydney' s traffic during peak hour is just as bad if not worse. Plus the roads my way are pock marked with holes, which doesn't exactly make travelling smooth.

Good morning!!!!

Woke naturally at 5am this morning. It was surreal. Now I'm at uni and its like 8.30am. I want to be very 'kiasu' and be the first to class. I was the first one to get to class last Thursday which I took a lot of pride in. haha. anyway don't know why I've suddenly become so neurotic about this!

So I checked my email on the library computers, replied an email to a friend in Indo. Checked webct to see whether my midsem exam is available to download, which is was not. Now probably going to head to class to maintain my 'first to class' streak.

On a side note, can't believe 'young people' are so smart and talented nowadays. I can't remember being smart at the age of 18 and below. In fact, those years are blurry now but I positively felt stupid. should have had more fun and not study so much in my 'youth'.
Lol, nyway good morning to all ;)

Dirty keyboard

thanks Nan for the impressive display of translation ;)

I was in the international student's computer lab 2 minutes ago, went there straight after FSR class this afternoon. They keyboards were filthy there, and the monitors were old. I was thus prompted to make a quick move to the newer computer lab with air conditioning.

I watched a most depressing video on Thursday morning. It was a film detailing a family's separation woes. Basically mum and dad argued over how their finances should be spent which lead to a divorce, custody battles over the children, and property disputes. Got me thinking how pointless marriage is if you can't compromise and get along with each other. I've definitely learnt my lesson from the video, don't get married to the wrong person!

not much happening

i'm studying for finals, and I'm doing an assignment which is due in October. I think this says a lot, like I have nothing to do and I'm bored as...

anyway time to have fun, enjoy the moment, seize the day, carpe diem, I wonder what that latin maxim means?? Funny how you know words but you don't know what they mean.

Summer holiday plans

hmm.. haven't thought much about it! oh yeah thats right, our whole family is probably going back to Malaysia for my cousin's wedding and we may be leaving pretty early in December. We might take another tour from Msia to somewhere else too.

Roadtrip during midsem holidays? We so should go somewhere?? Central coast or anywhere ;)

aircon

so nice in the lab computer labs, i think they just installed a new air con! It feels so good, I want to pull and pillow and blanket and just fall asleep here hehe.

Was seriously contemplating dropping FSR this week, but somehow the need to graduate compels me to stick it through and finish all my subjects by this session. I was contemplating doing the non-intensive Kingsford Legal Centre course which will run through the whole of summer I think, but it would interrupt my holiday plans and thus it is is better for me to 'geng nu li' and just put more effort into this subject.

Been drinking way too much coke too, must restrict!!! My monthly gym membership finishes on the 12th, its been good cos I've actually used it hehe. Going to the gym is just so boring though.

Negligence

Today 2pm, Family Law Midterm. How am I feeling about it? Ok, I'm so glad I did the past papers!

Was feeling stressed about it earlier today, but then remembered Mathew 6:33 'But seek ye first his kingdom and righteousness, and all will be given on to you'. I took a breather, prayed for a bit, read bout about Elisha and heaps of miracles in 2 Kings. Came back to study, I could fully concentrate again! so thanks God ;)

End of winter, end of winter sports. Poor Kimi Raikkonen, boo Nei the Renault supporter. Go AdelaidE! Go Wests! Go Newcastle! Go Raikkonen! ~ stream of consciousness hehe

Discount cat furniture, that is sooo randoom. So cool tho ;) (@)

Post 164

Been listening to new stuff. Watched Channel V and saw a new video clip which got me hooked on catchy lyrics. So yeah, I acquired a copy of Unwritten Law's CD called 'Here's to the mourning'. I think its a pun on the word 'morning'. haha.

Lol, its so hard to be sarcastic online.

So yeah, I'm addicted to 'She says'. Very catchy, very angsty, very me I guess :P

So I've had a good week. I celebrated my 23rd b'day on Tuesday. I seriously can't believe it. Another year older!!! I also can't believe how many remembered my b'day! Wonder how they know, because some people would have remembered from friendster or previous association with me, but I wonder how the other people who I've only known recently would have found out about my b'day.

I'm on the "just after Bluesky high" atm. Irina and the growth group organised a cake for Larry and me which was ultra nice. It was ice cream 2, from Baskin Robbins, yum! The berry flavour was really good, the chocolate was so so. It had like marshmallows but the chocolate flavour was kinda not there. Yu yen explained that it was probably from chocolate powder.

Things have been up and down, but thank God he is in control.
