I wish I had a hangover

I wish I could have said I dogged the reunion cos of a hangover, hehe. The sad truth was I was in front of a computer screen clicking a mouse between the hours of midnight and 4am Saturday morning and I have four alibis to prove it. *not including the security camera* After that lanning session, hmm, hahahaa. So yeah, I wasn't drunk or recovering from being drunk at all, I was just being a nerd hahahaha.

anyway glad the reunion was good :) and pity not many of the asian crowd didn't go but yeah, some school people were a little scary so I don't blame the doggers for dogging the event. hope this is not taken offensively to the ex-scary reformed non-doggers.

so cold!!!! its meant to be freaking summer for crying out loud!

Harry Potter is out this Thursday! time to get my Hogwart's robes and broomstick. I've always wanted to dress up to see a premier of a HP movie. This one is meant to be awesome, and from the the box office sales in America it should be!

post graduation the real story

After finishing my final ever uni exam on Friday morning, 25th November 2005 at 11am, I came out of the exam room. Nothing felt different, I felt relieved I finished another exam but the reality of the situation did not really hit.

A few hours passed, sat in a car being driven in neck-to-neck traffic in the city for a good hour. Had lunch somewhere new, Hong Kong Char Can Teng in Chatswood. Pretty good food there, Fusion cooking is pretty good and cheap too. So yeah, I highly recommend, I know know two places in Sydney where I can get this kinda stuff, Chatswood and 'Tian Tian' in Chinatown.

Came hour, left the house for bluesky. Final growth group of the year. It was good to reflect back on whats happened this year and to also be reminded to move on.

So yeah, blue sky ended and everyone was standing outside chatting as people normally do. didn't really feel like going home so early so decided to go out Lanning with the guys. Several hours later at 4am I emerge from SpaceWay netcafe and navigate my way through drunks on George Street with Christian to get to Town hall to catch nightride home. Reach Gordon 5am. The sky is not completely dark anymore, and getting lighter and lighter by the minute. Walked home from the station and got to see sunrise in Gordon for first time. Interesting, never done this before! Get home 5.20am, sneak in quietly, get into my daggy sleep clothes and fall alseep.

Wake up 10.30am, surprisingly early, go online as you do, get reminded that there's a NSBHS reunion from Jerry on msn, my mind is in a daze, follow mum and Kelvin to Flemington to buy fish and have lunch. Good. Drop by Macquarie Centre and help my cousin get boxes so he can vacate his room. Get home, people come to my house, I retreat to the dining room where my computer is, Harry Potter is on Channel 9, I get obsesssed.
Go out again to help cousin at Mac Uni, its pouring cats and dogs and there's a lightning storm too. Get home. sleep.

Sunday! Fun! After service, lunch, go arcade, play pool, come home, leave house, go to Roseville, eat dinner, watch Dodgeball, play cards, learn cardtrick! I'm back home now :)

post exam BOREDOM

Holidays, have to plan my holidays... let look up those surfing lessons at bondi again, I think I should go before I go hehe... hope i don't look fat in a wetsuit tho, damn have to do sit ups again.

Ok, gonna enjoy myself... cya in a few days ;)

post exam INSANITY!

aargh... this is worse than being hung over, did the ALR final this morning, went well thank God but now I'm struggling to motivate myself to revise for tomorrow's exam, my final exam ever for my double undergraduate degree... Finally how 5 years of study all comes down to FSR *sob *sob

I had so many interesting observations today, observations of the food on "Ready, Steady, Cook!" but I can't remember them.

Tomorrow, no more uni! :)

smallville smallville smallville

Just finished watching 2 eps for season 5, wahh soo good! Can't remember being a fan of superman when I was younger but through watching this unappreciated series (this means you Channel 9!) I've grown to be one. Superman is more than just an alien guy who has superpowers and can fly I think, the ideals he embodies are really inspirational and *quote* "the world is in need of Heroes" (Chloe Sullivan: Season 5 episode 3)

Thanks for sending the invite Gene :) I think its kinda cool that people want to meet up, get together and reminsce old times. Lol I felt so embarassed reading your comment though, migod how many stupid embarassing things have I done during school! I proli do deserve the bad rep hehe anywayz...

201, a new century of posts

Congrats to the the boys in yellow and green! Was a very exciting game to watch on TV, can't believe they couldn't score the vital second goal in the second half but all as well since penalty shootouts are so much more exciting haha.

It was kinda funny cos before the 1st goal was scored "the program on Channel 10 "was actually more entertaining LOL.

Anyway looks I've been dogged again by school! No Gene, haven't received anything about school reunions. The invite was probably blocked or not sent unfortunately :(

Been on and off productive, so hard to motivate yourself with so much time before exams. I've been doing all this work on Family Law to the neglect of the other subjects I'm doing. Anyway still got tomorrow, the weekend, Tuesday and Wednesday to make up for it.

No more weird vivid dreams but the cold weather has create perfect sleeping conditions.

hmmm...exercise is good. Went jogging today, met my neighbour Leo who I seriously haven't seen for 5 years! He's graduated already, last semester with a Materials Science degree and now he's apply for MBA at UTS. Pretty cool huh, I'm meeting all these people who are doing post grad study.

My 200th post!

Open up the champagne for it is my 200 th post! 200 "quality" posts may I add!

haha,

i had a really weird dream last night. It was so vivid that I can still remember what happened now even as I type! I dreamt about the last day of high school, not the actual day which happened in 2000 but the one in the alternative reality of my mind! It was so weird, I can remember going up to friends and other people and talking to them. I distinctively remember saying goodbye to Owen and reminding him to call me if he had trouble with Indo work.

I remember having this uncanny feeling of 'sadness' that it was the last day, I absolutely hate that feeling of 'finality'! Anyway i interpret this dream as being representative of the end of a phase of my life since I'm just about to graduate after I finish my finals this semester.

12th November Urban Outreach

First time evangelising as part of Urban Outreach today! It was pretty good despite the pestering flies which seem to infest Hyde Park. Got to speak to seven people in total, and we got a mixed response. Met some really interesting people, like this guy called Ray from Mexico City who's studying an MBA whilst working here. He had perfect teeth I swear * i'm a bit obsessed with teeth now that I realise the imperfections of my lower jaw*

but yeah I should continue to pray for them and hope that all the best becomes of them.

i'm phone shopping again, its so weird. Exactly the same time last year I bought my Sony Ericsson K700i. Phones are so much cooler nowadays, the cameras on them are like in megapixels and they are so slim, crazy how slim the Motorolla v3 Razr is! And yeah, phones can do so much more, like the Sony Ericsson w800i, I was so impressed with the sound quality of that thing, blows you away, anyway thou shall not covet Jay z's phone.

say no to junk food, a lesson in self-control

I really can't take junk food man. Have to exercise more self-control and take the healthy option in future on Friday nights, no more unhealthy runs to Maccas to satisfy hunger pangs!

anyway seriously, we did the last study from Fruits of the Spirit tonight, it was on self-control. It was really in depth, so much so that my head actually aches from it (in a good way). I was sitting in gg thinking of thoughtful probing questions to ask and any comments I should make, but yeah it was like my mind was all blank! Anyway its very motivating to see how much the other members of my group understand about the bible, and how they cross reference passages in the bible, an awesome skill in my opinion!

lazy to comment

isn't it a bit late for Grace to go to Kunming? Even if she went it wouldn't count to anything right?
hehe, but seriously, that trip was soo good :) Had a life-changing experience there, learnt so much and had such a good time!

Having been doing much, been working on ALR. Initially I was hesitant to do the research assignment cos I felt lazy but after giving it a go today I feel confident that I can complete something today and hand it in by Wednesday. It should get me a few marks which I need, if I don't do it I'll be facing a 100 per cent final on the 24th December.

i'm getting bitten my mosquitoes as I speak, how annoying.

Not sure whether I wrote about the last week of uni. Well yeah, basically last week was the last week of my undergraduate degree. Somehow it doesn't feel like it was the last week of uni, I only went on two days for a few hours of revision classes. I had my last tutoring session with Sabata (I've been doing voluntary maths tutoring for the UNSW Student Union) on the Thursday and I got a free icecream too! Apparently they're going to write us a reference too which is nice.

So hopefully next April I'll be going through the whole ceremony thing. I've been thinking about it a lot, nervously panicking about a lot of silly side issues. I was thinking of not going, or even graduating overseas just to avoid certain fears, but yeah, of course I won't do such a thing, I think I'd like to go through the normal process.

Anyway I've got one research assignment and three finals to go. My first exam is on the 18th which is ages away, still got time to prepare and study.

Blue Water High

I been watching this teen drama series on ABC recently, yesterday was the finale, it nearly moved me to tears! (Ok I'm slightly exaggerating here)

anyway for those unacquainted with this gem of TV series, it basically trails the story of 6 surfie kids who train for a surfing competition. Yesterday's episode was especially moving because it was the finale, the winner of the competition was announced and everybody had to move their separate ways.

The end scene showed all six kids gathered by the door at sunrise, the door represented a gateway to the future, what lay behind the door was the past and what lay outside the future. The kids decided to take the step outside at the same time, which they admitted was kinda "corny".

Lol, anyway I have a point to this story, but I can't really concentrate now, will continue laters.
