Its taken me 1.5 hours to book 4 flight tickets and measure the circumference of my head

omigosh... i find my title so amusing, i know its really stupid to laugh at your own jokes and even sadder to find yourself funny but.. hahaha anyway...

Yes I hate doing bookings online simply because of the fact that everytime I do one I have this weird feeling that I've done something wrong and everything is screwed up. I don't know how many times I checked the flight numbers for the four flight tickets I booked tonight, I had to book separately as I used frequent flyer points for 2 of the flights and proceeded to book the other 2 tickets normally through Jetstar.com.au.

As for measuring the circumference of my head, this is not what I normally do at home, I have plenty of better things to do such as counting sticks and studying (yuck), I had to measure my head so I can tell the uni what size cap I need for my graduation. Costs $65 for the gown, cap and something else for a Bachelor Degree.

It was my brother's 21st today! Huge occasion yeah, I feel a bit guilty cos I could have put more effort into making it more special for him, like for example waking up before 10.30am to wish him happy birthday in the morning before he rushed off to uni. Anyway I think I've made it up to him at dinner tonight.

Went to Hurricanes for dinner. It was nice, we waited ages for our table tho. The service attendant kept saying that they were "resetting" our table, this is code for there are people sitting at the table you reserved, it doesn't actually mean that they are preparing the table so that you may sit down in a few minutes. Funny how even the hospitality industry has created jargonistic euphemisms that totally confuse us normal humans.

Anyway time for bed. Tomorrow its time for more study!

My brain processes information too slowly

Aargh still at unit 2, oops I've actually gone on Unit 3 hurrah! Will I cover everything before next week's exams? *fingers crossed*

anyway its dinner time so at least I'll be distracted from work for a little while. Studying isn't that bad, its more processing everything and remembering stuff for the exam which is scary. I suffer from the "I've read it somewhere but I've totally forgotten what it was" syndrome.

Something really weird happened today. I was in the kitchen looking at the banana and suddenly this word hit me out of nowhere, "matang". I remembered, its the malay word for ripe but I wasn't too sure. But sure enough after checking a dictionary "matang" is indeed the equivalent for ripe in bahasa. How weird is the subconscious brain, funny how I seem to be able to remember random things but have difficulty getting through all this law stuff.

Anyway dinner beckons...

Cold weather reminds me the HSC = depressing

I hate evenings in Autumn when I'm at home, everything is so grey and cold, I come back home and its back to studying... crap! Reminds me of being in year 12, nothing but study, amazing how I got through the whole year hehe.

I've got roughly a week to prepare for 3 exams and 2 vivas for college, at least I can look forward to a free BBQ provide by College on the Thursday after exams finish. Should be fun to catch up with all the people I met at the onsite last month.

Time flies so fast, can't believe its been so long since the onsite! Come to think of it, the last time I attended Club O was the last day of collaw onsite.. not good!

Anyway thank God for another great week =)

Too many things to do, can't cope syndrome

Love birds at Melbourne Zoo

View of Melbourne CBD from Southbank (yes i did go to Crown)

Da famous Flinders Street Station on Flinders Street

Exotic Asian Rice Paddy Bird

Melbourne Town Hall (Many comedy acts were performed inside)

Life is getting busy again, 2 weeks til final college exams, graduation, my brother's 21st, guests from overseas coming, bookings and reservations to make! At least I can't complain that life is not interesting. Have to find time for the gym and/or exercise too, have to make sure I look slim for grad photos lol :P

Anyway I had a great time in Melbourne =) Good company and good times. Accomodation was generally good, if anyone goes to Melb I highly recommend staying at Pacific International Apartments on Exhibition Street, its in the CBD and very accessible to anywhere in town. I'm not being sponsored by anyone for this bit of free advertising ^^

Saw a variety of comedy acts over the weekend including Tim Minchin, Tripod, etc. Amazingly I got to see many comedians in the flesh too, saw Dave Hughes (Glasshouse) roaming around Town Hall along with John Foreman(Aussie Idol), Adam Hills, Tim Minchin, Eddie Perfect, and the guy from "We can be heroes".

We got to visit Melbourne Zoo on Sunday arvo =) Was a worthwhile visit, we were only there for an hour (4 - 5pm) but we covered a sizeable portion of this sizeable zoo. Got to see heaps and heaps of monkeys, red pandas, cavys, penguins, and rainforest birds.

Also got to catch up with new blueskier Paul Duong ;) He took us around the city Saturday arvo showing us the plentiful cafes and chocolate places littered everywhere.

Saw my aunt, uncle and cousins on Saturday night. They took me out to eat Peking duck somewhere out in Fitzroy. Roast duck is really good in Melbourne, had duck in Chinatown with Mel and Jen the day before.

Now that I'm back in Sydney it feels weird. I kinda miss the company, easter egg chocolate, loud, noisy and crappy rock song imitations from the pub next to the hotel, the soft comfy beds, the cold wet weather.

Posting for the sake of posting

Its Autumn, its April, its cold, I'm busy, I'm bad with time management, so many things to do, don't seem to be able to do it all.

Its another week! Four day week because of Good Friday, will going away over the weekend to Melbourne which should be fun. Didn't get to see much of the city itself last time I went (last year for cousin's wedding). Hopefully will get the chance to see my aunty and uncle and my cousins are are all there at the moment.

Feeling lazy, need exercise, too much pizza

Spent a day at home today, it was nice to be woken up by the sun heating up my room and to hear the birds sing in the morning! Is a nice change from waking up at the terrible hour of 6.30 (well more like 7 since I ignore my alarm clock) and having to drink several cups of tea before I feel awake enough to walk out of the house.

So I spent the day getting organised and getting into college work again. Didn't get that much done but its a start. Got some feedback from my super nice marathon running lecturer of mine, Ray. He provided feedback on my latest assignment, an exercise on fiduciary duties. Despite the lack of effort I put in into it I got back a positive response, I'm beginning to think that he is the most positive and encouraging lawyer I've ever met! Everything I've submitted gets a "great work" or something to that effect. Ray actually reads the stuff I submit and goes into detail about improvements, he has restored my faith in legal professionals!

Ray's going to Canberra to participate in another marathon this weekend, he emailed all his students and provided a link to some photos :)

I spent all of tonight in front of the TV, interspersed with frequent visits to the computer. How sad is that, but I do love Thursday night TV. If I had my way I would watch from 7pm to 11.30 straight, the comedy trio of American Dad, Family Guy and Scrubs is seriously one of the best things to happen this year.

How funny was AD and FG tonight! Seth MacFarlane rocks! Really back to form tonight after last week's slightly boring episodes. The alien guy in AD became a concubine and stalled his Saudi Arabian lover by telling him embellished "fairy tales" of Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place....in FG Mel Griffin was left behind by her family and fell dead from poison darts right at the end! Bravo, bravo!

Oh the reference to pizza in the title of this post refers to me going to do paid market research last two nights. Had to trek to St Leonards to sample a few varieties of pizza (free dinner).

Look forward to Satay Sauce Meatball pizza, Romano and Cheese Baked Crust Supreme, and my favourite Smoky BBQ Sauce Meatlovers.. hmm...

Massive eyestrain

Seems like ages since I last posted!

First day at work today, it was good =) Hope I can last, that its the job for me and that I will suit the environment.

College is ending soon, only 3 weeks of coursework and 1 week of exams to go! Haven't done any substantial work for it, saving it for this weekend.

So depressing now that summer is over, day light savings is no more. The sun sets too early, it gets dark and cold and everybody coughs in the train.
